Why is this card good?
Bedevil is one of the cleanest premium removal spells in Rakdos colors. Three mana at instant speed to destroy an artifact, creature, or planeswalker covers the vast majority of threats you'll face in a multiplayer game — and unconditionally, with no caveats or downsides.
The flexibility is the selling point. You're not stuck holding a creature-only kill spell when someone resolves a backbreaking artifact (think Mana Vault, Aetherflux Reservoir, or a key combo piece) or an oppressive planeswalker. That versatility justifies the double-black cost in any deck that can support it.
Who wants it: essentially every Rakdos-aligned deck — Rakdos midrange, aristocrats, spellslinger, and anything wanting flexible interaction. It's a default include.
When to skip it: the pip is demanding, so in heavily three-or-more-color decks with shaky mana it can be awkward. Decks that don't care about answering noncreature permanents may prefer cheaper creature-only removal like Bloodchief's Thirst, but Bedevil's coverage is usually worth it.
