Why is this card good?
Simian Spirit Guide is a one-time burst of red mana from your hand — effectively a free ritual that doesn't cost a card slot in the traditional sense (you exile it instead of paying mana). Think of it as Lotus Petal that's stuck on red but doesn't take a board action.
The key use is enabling explosive turn-one or combo plays where you need to "find" an extra red mana out of nowhere.
