Why is this card good?

Ephemerate is one of the best one-mana blink spells in the format, and it's all about the Rebound clause: a single white pip gets you two blinks across two turns. That two-for-one efficiency is what separates it from comparable effects. It shines in any deck built around enters-the-battlefield triggers — Brago, Roon, Aminatou, or value-blink shells that run creatures like Mulldrifter, Solemn Simulacrum, Reflector Mage, or Cloudblazer. Every flicker doubles your card advantage or repeats a removal/ramp trigger. It also doubles as cheap protection, dodging targeted removal or a fatal combat trade while still netting an ETB. Best of all, it's nearly free to slot — it costs nothing in tempo and the rebound makes it a slow, sticky engine. Don't play it if your creatures don't have meaningful ETBs; blinking a vanilla beater is a waste, and the Rebound forces a second trigger you might not want (resetting auras/counters you control). Pure aggro or non-creature decks should pass.
