Gameplan
Syr Vondam turns a wide board into a lethal swarm by handing out deathtouch and a power buff every time he enters or attacks, making your tokens and small creatures trade up and punch through any blocker. You build a board of bodies, then attack to either force terrible blocks or push damage, while deathtouch makes Vondam himself a defensive wall. Lifelink keeps you alive long enough to grind out the table.
Strengths
- Deathtouch granting turns even 1/1 tokens into removal-on-a-stick that profitably trade with anything.
- Repeatable buff on attack means you don't need the buff stapled to ETB only.
- Built-in deathtouch + lifelink makes Vondam a strong blocker and combat deterrent.
- BW gives access to elite removal, recursion, and token generators.
Weaknesses
- Effect does nothing without a board, so you fold to repeated board wipes.
- Relies on Vondam being on the battlefield; he's a removal magnet.
