Why is this card good?
One of the best green ramp spells in the format, full stop. The key word is "Forest card" (not "basic Forest"), which means it can grab any land with the Forest subtype — including dual lands like Breeding Pool, Temple Garden, or Bayou. That flexibility plus untapped entry (it doesn't say "tapped" like Rampant Growth) makes it strictly better than most 2-mana ramp.
Who wants it:
- Basically every green deck that runs more than one color — fetch a shockland or true dual untapped and fix while ramping.
- Mono-green decks still happily run it, but you only ever get basics there, making it functionally a slightly worse Rampant Growth in that context.
Why it's great: Turn-two acceleration into your 4-drop commander or bombs is the engine of green strategies, and the dual-fetching is real value in any multicolor build with Forest-typed lands.
When to skip it: Heavy nonbasic/dork ramp builds where you have no Forest-types worth fetching, or landfall decks that prefer cards putting lands into your hand for replays.
