Boros Garrison

Land

LegalRank #461

This land enters tapped.

When this land enters, return a land you control to its owner's hand.

{T}: Add {R}{W}.

Why is this card good?

Boros Garrison is the classic "Karoo" bounce land for any deck running red-white. It produces two mana of two colors from a single land, which is genuinely strong fixing — effectively making your next land drop count for two mana. That's exactly what color-hungry midrange and value decks want. The catch is the tempo hit: it enters tapped and bounces a land, so you're down a land drop the turn you play it. That stings in fast, aggressive Boros lists or any deck trying to curve out smoothly. The trick is to bounce another tapland or a fetchland for extra value, smoothing the downside. Play it in casual-to-mid power RW decks that prioritize consistent fixing over speed — token/go-wide, equipment-voltron, or anything mana-hungry. Avoid it in high-power or competitive builds where the tempo loss is unacceptable, and skip it if your manabase already has plenty of untapped dual sources. It's a budget-friendly fixer, not a premium one.
