The Commander

You may cast creature spells as though they had flash.

Whenever one or more other creatures you control leave the battlefield, investigate. This ability triggers only once each turn. (Create a Clue token. It's an artifact with "{2}, Sacrifice this token: Draw a card.")

Gameplan

Sally Sparrow turns your whole deck into an instant-speed toolbox: hold up mana, react to threats, and ambush blockers or flash in answers on opponents' turns. Every turn a creature you control dies, blinks, or bounces, you investigate, building a steady stream of Clues that refuel your hand and fund a long, grindy game. You win by out-resourcing the table with flash value creatures, then converting your card advantage and Clue artifacts into a flyers/control finish.

Strengths

  • Flash on all creatures gives huge interaction and combat flexibility, punishing attackers and dodging sorcery-speed removal
  • Reliable card advantage engine via Clues that triggers every turn from any creature leaving (death, blink, bounce, sacrifice)
  • UW gives best-in-class counterspells, board wipes, and protection to back up a reactive game
  • Clue tokens synergize with artifact and sacrifice themes for extra value

Weaknesses

  • Investigate triggers only once per turn, capping the raw card flow
  • Clues are mana-hungry to cash in, and the deck can stall on mana holding up flash
  • No inherent way to close fast — games go long and you can be out-tempoed by combo decks
  • Vulnerable to graveyard/artifact hate that shuts off Clue value

  • Restoration Angel — A flash blinker that both protects creatures and triggers investigate on demand.

Upgrade Path

Add efficient blink and sacrifice outlets (Restoration Angel, Brago, Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar) to maximize daily investigate triggers, and lean into artifact-token payoffs like Academy Manufactor and Reckoner Bankbuster. Tighten the mana with fast rocks and a strong dual-land base so you can both hold up flash and cash Clues, then include a compact combo or strong control finish (Approach, flyers, or an aristocrat drain) so the grindy engine actually closes games.
