Gameplan
Pair Yasmin with a Doctor partner (or run her mono-red with a strong red commander shell) and grind card advantage by tapping her each turn to impulse-draw the top card. You convert raw card flow into a relentless aggressive or spellslinger gameplan, repeatedly playing extra cards each turn to out-resource opponents who lack card draw in red.
Strengths
- Repeatable, free card advantage in a color starved for it
- Enables Doctor's companion pairings, opening into Izzet/Gruul/etc. when paired with a multicolor Doctor
- Cheap to commander-tax recast and pressures the board early
- Synergizes with anything that cares about exile, impulse draw, or 'play from exile' effects
Weaknesses
- The advantage is slow and tap-dependent—vulnerable to summoning sickness and removal
- Card is wasted if you don't play it before your next end step, leading to lost value
- Mono-red alone struggles with interaction, ramp, and answering enchantments
- Telegraphs as a value engine, drawing removal and tap-down effects
