The Commander

Gameplan
Frodo is a mono-white Voltron commander who suits up cheaply and swings for lethal commander damage. Each time he enters or attacks you get to attach an MV2-3 Equipment for free, so you flood the board with cheap power-pumping and protection-granting gear and start connecting as early as turn 3-4. The damage-prevention clause means he survives your own combat (and blocks) with ease, so the plan is to make him unblockable or evasive and stack double strike to close games fast.
Strengths
- Free repeated equip attaches (no mana) every combat for MV2-3 Equipment saves enormous tempo.
- Damage prevention on your turn makes him immune to blockers, fight effects, and burn during combat.
- Cheap 2-mana commander recasts cheaply and gets going immediately.

Weaknesses
- Damage prevention only applies on your turn — he dies freely to instant-speed removal and combat on opponents' turns.
- Highly vulnerable to exile, -X/-X, and edicts that ignore the prevention shield.
- Classic Voltron fragility: a single board wipe or removal spell can reset hours of setup.
- Mono-white card advantage is thin, so a disrupted Frodo leaves you topdecking.

Prioritize protecting Frodo on opponents' turns with Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, Flawless Maneuver, and Teferi's Protection since the prevention clause doesn't help then. Finally, slim the curve with fast mana (Sol Ring, Mana Vault) and add tutors like Steelshaper's Gift and Stoneforge Mystic to find your best sword on demand.
