Why is this card good?
Arcane Signet is one of the best two-mana rocks in Commander, and its EDHREC ubiquity is fully earned. The key advantage over Mind Stone, Fellwar Stone, or a Talisman is that it fixes perfectly for your deck — it taps for any color in your commander's identity, so in three-, four-, or five-color decks it's effectively a strictly-positive mana source with zero downside.
It belongs in nearly every multicolored deck. The ramp-plus-fixing on turn two accelerates you into your commander and smooths greedy mana bases, which is exactly what midrange, ramp, and combo decks crave. The more colors you run, the better it gets.
When to skip it: mono-color decks gain nothing from the fixing, so Mind Stone (which cantrips) or a Talisman is usually better there. Hardcore cEDH lists sometimes cut it because it doesn't combo or generate card advantage — it's pure ramp. But for the other 95% of decks, it's an auto-include.
