Why is this card good?

Rakdos Charm is one of the most flexible two-mana answers in any Rakdos deck, and its versatility is exactly why it sees so much play. You're paying a small premium for the modality, but in Commander, having one card that covers three completely different situations is worth a deck slot. The modes: - Graveyard exile — instant-speed hate against reanimator, dredge, Muldrotha, or Meren strategies. Hits at the perfect moment (in response to a big reanimation spell). - Destroy artifact — answers mana rocks, Sol Ring engines, key combo pieces, or equipment. - Each creature deals 1 to its controller — secretly a board-wipe punisher and a win condition against go-wide token decks. If an opponent has 40+ tokens, this can kill them. Decks that want it: any B/R midrange, aristocrats, or interaction-heavy build that values modal flexibility. When to skip it: decks that prefer dedicated, harder removal, or that need raw power over flexibility. The damage mode is often dead, so you're really paying for two reliable modes.
