Why is this card good?
Scute Swarm is one of the most explosive token engines in green, and it's deceptively dangerous. Once you hit six lands, every landfall trigger copies the Swarm — and each new copy also triggers off future landfalls. The token count grows exponentially, and a couple of extra land drops can flip you from a few bugs to literally dozens in a single turn.
It shines in lands-matter and tokens decks — think Tatyova, Lord Windgrace, Omnath, or any Azusa/Exploration-style build with extra land drops and fetchlands. Pair it with a sacrifice outlet for aristocrats, or an anthem/overrun effect like Craterhoof for a one-shot kill. Even Avenger of Zendikar decks love the redundancy.
Caveats: the tokens are fragile 1/1s, so a single board wipe undoes all your work. It also creates real-world headaches — the token math can grind games to a halt and bloat your board state. Skip it if your deck can't reliably trigger multiple landfalls per turn.

A landfall ability triggers whenever a land you control enters for any reason. It triggers whenever you play a land, as well as whenever a spell or ability puts a land onto the battlefield under your control.
