Gameplan
Abigale is a cheap, evasive lifelink threat who can strip a problematic creature of its abilities and then hand out keyword counters. Most decks lean on her as a Voltron/counters engine: protect her, pump her, and use repeated counter placement (or counter-doubling) to build a wide or tall board of evasive lifelinkers while shutting off opposing bombs.
Strengths
- Two-mana flying first-strike lifelink body is great offense and defense for the cost
- Ability-removal mode neutralizes commanders, indestructible threats, and combo pieces
- Counters synergize with proliferate, doubling effects, and +1/+1 counter payoffs
- Lifelink keeps you out of burn/aggro range and fuels life-as-resource cards
Weaknesses
- Fragile 2-power body that dies to nearly any removal
- Counter-removal mode targets only one creature per ETB, so it needs repeated blinks/recasts
- Lacks raw card advantage or ramp on her own
- Voltron lines are vulnerable to a single Swords or Path

Upgrade Path
Add proliferate and counter-doublers (Doubling Season, Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution) to make her keyword grants exponential, plus blink enablers (Ephemerate, Conjurer's Closet) to reuse the ability-strip. Tighten the curve with efficient protection (Swiftfoot Boots, Heroic Intervention) and equipment (Sword of Feast and Famine) for a faster Voltron kill, and round out with strong BW removal and tutors to find your engine pieces.
