Astrid Peth is a mono-white voltron-ish value engine: churn out Food (and Clues) and sacrifice them to repeatedly explore, growing Astrid and digging for lands while sacrifice payoffs and lifegain pile up. Early turns you cast Astrid, generate tokens, and start an explore loop; mid-game you turn that engine into a giant commander backed by white's protection and equipment, or into a grindy aristocrats/lifegain shell that drains the table.
Add fast mana and white's best rocks/lands (Sol Ring, Smothering Tithe, Land Tax) to outpace the format, and tighten an actual combo line like Cauldron Familiar + Witch's Oven with a Blood Artist payoff. Prioritize commander protection (Swiftfoot Boots, Teferi's Protection) and draw engines (Skullclamp, Welcoming Vampire) since mono-white's bottleneck is cards. Token doublers like Academy Manufactor and Anointed Procession convert the engine into explosive, redundant value.
