Gameplan
Kuon is a mono-black aristocrats/attrition commander who feeds on creature death. You curve out cheap blockers and sacrifice fodder, then trigger mass death to flip Kuon into Kuon's Essence, which forces every player to sacrifice a creature each upkeep. From there you grind opponents out of creatures while draining them and recurring your own bodies.
Strengths
- Strong recurring board control that punishes creature-heavy tables once flipped
- Mono-black gives access to the best tutors, recursion, and sacrifice payoffs
