The Commander

When Marina Vendrell enters, reveal the top seven cards of your library. Put all enchantment cards from among them into your hand and the rest on the bottom of your library in a random order.

Gameplan

Marina Vendrell is a five-color enchantment engine: she digs seven deep for enchantments on cast and untaps Rooms so you can unlock or even re-lock doors for repeatable enters/leaves value. You ramp into a dense enchantment shell, deploy Rooms and other enchantments, and grind incremental advantage until an enchantment-fueled engine, Voltron, or a big payoff overwhelms the table.

Strengths

  • Free card advantage on cast and recast that refills your hand with enchantments
  • Five-color identity unlocks the best enchantment and ramp packages in the game
  • Repeatedly toggling Room doors abuses enters/triggered abilities
  • Naturally resilient grind plan that survives spot removal and recovers from board wipes

Weaknesses

  • Marina herself does nothing to protect your board or your life total
  • Heavy reliance on enchantments makes you weak to Back to Nature-style sweepers
  • Five-color mana base is expensive and can stumble on color requirements
  • Slow to close games—can durdle without a dedicated win package
  • Re-locking/unlocking Rooms once per turn is sorcery-speed and bottlenecked by Marina being a tap ability

  • Sterling Grove — Protects your enchantments from removal and tutors any enchantment to the top of your library.
  • Enchantress's Presence — Draws a card off every enchantment you cast, compounding Marina's card flow.
  • Sythis, Harvest's Hand — Another enchantress engine that draws and gains life as you flood the board with enchantments.
  • Eladamri's Call — Instant-speed tutor to find Marina or a key enchantment creature exactly when needed.
  • Estrid's Invocation — Copies your best enchantment and can be reset, pairing perfectly with a high enchantment count.
  • Sanctum Weaver — Scales mana with your enchantment count to power a sprawling five-color shell.

Upgrade Path

Add fast mana and ramp (Smothering Tithe, Sol Ring, Sanctum Weaver, Three Tree City) to power out Marina and your enchantment density, and run multiple enchantress engines so each enchantment refunds cards. Tighten the win condition with Sigil of the Empty Throne or Starfield of Nyx plus protection like Sterling Grove and Greater Auramancy. For higher power, lean on enchantment tutors (Idyllic Tutor, Enlightened Tutor) and a compact combo finish so you stop durdling and close decisively.
