Gameplan

Vaevictis Asmadi is a big 6/6 flyer that can pump itself to lethal with extra mana, so the deck is built around mana ramp and protecting a beater while you assemble a Jund value engine. Turn to turn you ramp hard, hold up the upkeep tax, then cast Vaevictis and start swinging for commander damage while pumping in combat.

• Rampant Growth — Cheap ramp accelerates toward the dragon and fixes the demanding BRG cost.

Upgrade Path

Lean into ramp and cost reduction (Sol Ring, mana rocks, mana doublers like Mana Reflection) so the upkeep tax and pumps are trivial, and add trample enablers like Rancor or Loxodon Warhammer plus protection via Swiftfoot Boots and Heroic Intervention. Since the command zone offers no card advantage, prioritize engines like Sylvan Library and Phyrexian Arena, and consider treating Vaevictis as a backup beater while a stronger Jund value or combo plan carries the deck.
