Gameplan
Bumi turns your lands into a battalion of beaters and then beats face with them. Earthbend lands into creatures, swing with Bumi for trample damage, untap your lands and take an extra combat where your animated lands pile on. Snowball land counters and ramp into repeated lethal combats.
Strengths
- Generates a second combat phase every time Bumi connects, doubling your damage output
- Earthbend builds a wide, resilient land-creature army that dodges most board wipes labeled at 'creatures' less but survives via counters
- Untapping all lands fuels big mana for spells between or during combats
- Trample on a counter-laden Bumi gets through chump blockers
Weaknesses
- Animating lands exposes your mana base to creature removal and board wipes, which can two-for-one your lands and your engine
- Heavily reliant on Bumi connecting; if he's removed or chump-blocked the extra combat is wasted
- Vulnerable to fliers and evasive blockers since land creatures are usually grounded
- Mass land destruction or Armageddon effects are catastrophic for the deck

- Nissa, Who Shakes the World — Doubles green mana from Forests and animates lands into huge 0/0 creatures, supercharging your extra-combat attackers.
- The Great Henge — Cheap with a big Bumi, it draws cards and ramps every time your land creatures and Bumi enter or attack.
- Rampaging Baloths — Turns each land you ramp out into a 4/4 Beast token to swing alongside your animated lands.
- Crucible of Worlds — Recovers lands lost to removal or sacrifice and lets you replay fetches to grow your battlefield.
- Aggravated Assault — With untapped lands from Bumi, it loops extra combats for potentially game-ending attack chains.
- Skyshroud Claim — Fetches two untapped Forests to feed land-creature payoffs and ramp into your engine.
Upgrade Path
Add protection for Bumi (Heroic Intervention, Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots) so your combat trigger reliably fires, and lean into untap payoffs like Aggravated Assault and Nissa, Who Shakes the World for explosive turns. Improve the mana base with Crucible of Worlds and fetchlands to recur destroyed lands, and tune the curve toward fast ramp (Three Visits, Skyshroud Claim) so you can earthbend and deploy threats ahead of schedule.
