The Commander

Haste

Other Satyrs you control get +1/+1 and have haste.

Whenever you attack with three or more creatures, you may discard a card at random. If you do, draw two cards.

Guide

Gameplan

Deploy cheap aggressive creatures, swing wide with three or more attackers every turn, and use Gallia's random discard to refill your hand and keep the pressure relentless. You win by going under the table with fast, evasive beats while card advantage from Gallia keeps your gas tank full.

Strengths

  • Two-mana commander that demands an early answer and pressures life totals fast
  • Built-in card advantage that's rare for mono-aggro Gruul strategies
  • Anthem and haste for Satyrs makes a tribal subtheme genuinely scary
  • Cheap to rebuild after a board wipe thanks to low curve and refill engine

Weaknesses

  • Vulnerable to board wipes that erase your whole investment
  • Random discard can pitch your best card at the worst time
  • Limited interaction in Gruul colors; struggles against combo and hard control
  • Runs out of steam against bigger life totals and fogs if the attack is blunted

Key Cards

  • Reckless Bushwhacker — Kicked, it gives haste and a team pump to immediately convert tokens into lethal swings.
  • Ohran Frostfang — Turns every attacker into a deathtouch threat and draws a card per combat damage dealer, snowballing your wide boards.
  • Goldspan Dragon — Hasty evasive threat that doubles your treasure mana to recast cheap creatures and keep attacking three-plus.
  • Klothys, God of Destiny — Indestructible value engine providing mana and reach damage that complements relentless aggression.
  • Skullclamp — Converts your cheap dying creatures and tokens into a torrent of cards alongside Gallia's draw.

Upgrade Path

Lower the curve and add more haste-granting payoffs (Fervor, Hammer of Purphoros) plus mass pump finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth and Overwhelming Stampede to convert a wide board into one-shot kills. Add protection such as Heroic Intervention and Boros Charm to beat wraths, and improve mana with fast rocks and dorks so you can rebuild and keep attacking after disruption.

Win Conditions

  • ▸Wide combat damage from a hasty, pumped board
  • ▸Overrun-style finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth or Triumph of the Hordes
  • ▸Repeated burn and reach via Klothys and direct damage to finish stragglers

Archetypes

  • Go-Wide Aggro — Gallia rewards attacking with three or more creatures, pushing token and small-creature swarms.
  • Satyr Tribal — The anthem and haste buff make a dedicated Satyr build hit harder and faster.
  • Spellslinger Aggro — Impulsive draw and cheap creatures pair with burn and pump to close games quickly.
